Last year, top 5 all placed in the top 7 in Otisredding's MegaChart. The top 5 also all had 28 reviews or more: 1. DAMN. (1st on MCCh, 89.3, 28 reviews) 2. American Dream (4th, 88.0, 29 reviews) 3. Melodrama (5th, 87.9, 30 reviews) 4. A Deeper Understanding (7th, 84.7, 31 reviews) 5. MASSEDUCTION (3...

What Will Top AM's Albums and Songs lists for 2018?

It seems like 2018 has been a little less predictable than recent years on what will be the most acclaimed album and song of the year, with few frontrunners. Any guesses on what will top each list? As of right now, I feel like the song race is between "Make Me Feel" by Janelle Monae and &q...

I'd pick:
Fearless, Taylor Swift
Speak Now, Taylor Swift
Red, Taylor Swift
Fly, Dixie Chicks

Also, Taking the Long Way Home by the Dixie Chicks deserves to be much higher.

Artists That Will Gain Acclaim Over Time

I recently heard that Led Zeppelin was panned by critics back in the 70s. Although it's hard for me to believe, Led Zeppelin IV did not place in the top 20 amongst critics in the 1971 Pazz and Jop poll, so it seems possible. Are there any artists right now that receive subpar reviews from critics th...
