As much as I love IGOR, Bandana feels like the rap album that will get the most acclaim come year-end time. Eilish’s album is brilliant, but sadly I think it will suffer from the FutureSex/LoveSounds effect. Tons of publications will keep it off their lists just because it’s a megaselling pop album ...

Well shit, like Nick said, it looks like NFR is going to be the critics' AOTY for 2019. There seems to be so much critical consensus towards praise of this album. Guess i'm gonna have to take another listen to see what the hype is about.

It puts a smile on my face to see Issac Hayes' rendition of "Walk On By" in the top five, because that track is the definition of passion :mrgreen: But where's "I Want You Back"? And Gimme Shelter not at #1 is also a negative for me, as well.

For Tierra Whack, definitely check out Whack World. One of 2018’s best albums in my opinion, and also appeared on a lot of year-end lists as well. The album features an unusual format (fifteen tracks which are all about one minute long), but it’s a rewarding listen nevertheless.
