Re: Errors in the 2020 update
Hi Henrik! The link for Antònia Font is broken. It wants to send me to http://www.acclaimedmusic.net/artist/Antònia%20Font.htm I'm updating all my music files on my computer to be in accordance with this new update, so I'm going through artist by artist (because I use my time wisely, obviously). I'l...

Re: New site update!
I can see I'm a couple days late, but I just wanted to say thank you so much, Henrik. I know that this is a lot of hard work on your end, and I just want you to know that I really appreciate everything you do. You've made my December a much brighter one.

The song "1-2-3" by Len Barry is listed as "2003-01-02". I assume this is a matter of Excel changing it to a date.

Re: Errors in the 2017 update
Also, not really a mistake of Henrik, but for some reason Prince's album Lovesexy is available as one 48 minute track, so you can't access the songs. On the Spotify list now we don't find I Wish U Heaven, but the whole album. This is no problem for Alphabet Street from the same album as that one is...

Re: Errors in the 2017 update
The Fred Astaire page has the song "Night and Day" listed twice, once as #3942 (from 1932), and once as a "bubbling under" (from 1933).

Just an FYI, otisredding... The image for Descendents' "Hypercaffium Spazzinate" is actually the album cover for Kaytranada's "99.9%".
Thanks for continuing to put this together, I really appreciate all the hard work you do!

Re: Errors in the June 2013 update
By the way, I'm not arguing for a reclassification of the band And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. I think you're correct in putting them under "A". The radio station where I used to work put them under "T" (for "Trail of Dead") and it drove me up the wall. A pi...

A quick note, in case anyone's interested, on what I've come to refer to as "Project 3000," my quest to own all of the top 3000 albums on CD. There are 199 new entries or re-entries to the top 3000 in this update. I already have all of them. That is all. Harold, I remember you saying that...

Re: Errors in the June 2013 update
Since we're on the subject of classifying artists under a different letter, I might as well bring up something that's been a pet peeve of mine. It seems to me that bands like a Certain Ratio, a Flock of Seagulls, a Guy Called Gerald, and a Tribe Called Quest should be listed under "C", &qu...

Regarding the song "Makin' Whoopee" as performed by Eddie Cantor... RYM lists this song as being from 1929 (not 1928), and the below link explains that the track was recorded on December 18, 1928 but was not released until April of 1929. http://victor.library.ucsb.edu/index.php/object/deta...

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but someone is sure to point it out eventually... El-P is listed twice (in the "E Artists" list). Also, I wonder if maybe the listing for "Dexys" should be combined with the listing for "Dexys Midnight Runners", as the former i...

RIP Dave Brubeck
The music world lost a true pioneer today. Dave Brubeck died at the age of 91. Jazz music really doesn't get nearly the kind of love on this forum as pop and rock music, but I will definitely be spending my day listening his music today. Sure, the whole "Time Out" album is legendary, but I...

R.I.P. Terry Callier
I just found out that Terry Callier died a couple of days ago. I'm gonna be listening to "What Color Is Love" now pretty much non-stop for the next day or two.
If you haven't heard this album, do yourself a favor. The opening track "Dancing Girl" is so incredibly good.

I agree with you, I think that this song is criminally under-appreciated. My personal favorite is the version from 1993 done by Ray Charles.

I've got my fingers crossed for you, Henrik. I really hope you're able to salvage your data.

Re: R.I.P. Whitney Houston
When I first heard the news, my first reaction wasn't sadness or shock. I remember thinking, "Well, that's no surprise." But as the tributes have been pouring in (especially after last night's Grammy Awards), it's been harder and harder for me to hold back the tears, which is saying someth...
