"Bax" by Mosca is a surprising but worthy addition to this list. "Done Me Wrong" from the same single is just as amazing.

I love this! It is surprising and features a ton of acts that other magazines have not mentioned so far: Jam City, Rustie (Glass Swords is the pioneer for the genre Future Bass that has taken over Soundcloud for the past 5-6 years), Actress and especially Andy Stott!

"Waterfalls" by TLC at #2 was surprising although "Creep" has always been the superior song to me. One change I would like to see is the remix version of "Fantasy" rather than the original. ODB added a lot of charisma to the song and the remix has the better chorus easily.

The new Mountain Goats song "Younger" is so good.

"The Light Is Coming" is a train-wreck of a song. There are several better songs by Ariana Grande this year. I can even tolerate "No Tears Left To Cry" and "breathing".
Happy to see Mariah Carey getting mentioned though as Caution is her best and most focused album since 2005.

When I think of bass-driven songs, this is off the top of my head: "Forget Me Nots" by the incredibly talented Patrice Rushen. The bass in this song is too good: groovy, seductive, it is technical but sounds so effortless.
