Re: Discussion Regarding When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

I know sales aren't everything but Nevermind came midway through the late 80s-late 90s CD boom where the big sellers were the biggest ever in the music industry and when something got huge it was hard to avoid overexposure to it, as all of the ordinary persons' traditional entries into music such as...

I do unironically love My Teenage Dream Ended and reccommend everyone gives it a listen. The combination of the cover, the instrumentals and the vocals, none of which feel like they are from the same release is genuinely class.

Eminem's recent run of albums has made his earlier stuff unenjoyable for me as well because i just associate his voice with garbage now. It's actually quite remarkable how, even though it is a fair bit better than the previous two, the new one will most likely stay as my least favorite album of 2020...

I'll do a top 50 albums list now and a songs one when i have time. I'm excluding live albums (apart from Beth Gibbons) as otherwise the top ten would be full of Nirvana, Idles, Jeff Rosenstock, Flaming Lips etc. (there were a weird number of great live releases this year) and shift focus onto 'new' ...

Option 1 definitely - if 2 or 3 were used then, presuming the game continues for a while, at some point certain users will run out of songs and we will end up getting ones from the same people way more regularly. It seems total randomness is the best method.
