I went to the Joe Hisaishi concert happening in relation to the Fanime Convention in San Jose. The orchestra wasn't perfect, but I didn't expect it to be, and it was amazing to see all my favorite songs performed live. "The Legend of Ashitaka" made me the most emotional; I got really close...

More people should check out this Hop Along album [Bark Your Head Off, Dog]. It's a mid-rocking rock album, female lead vocals. I liked it, but I think some of you might like it more, like the DocBrown-Jirin-type crowd.

Any thoughts on this new Jack White album? I'm not a Jack White expert, but it seems to be a very scattered-sounding album. He jumps back and forth between loud, gospel and guitar-backed tracks, all the way to spoken word tracks.
