Kero Kero Bonito - Bonito Generation was the first thing that came to mind. Absolutely genuine pop music. Much rarer and more special than a lot of music fans think. And of course... where are those Joe Hisaishi soundtracks????? He has three instant classics, and several more that are pretty good.

I went to the Joe Hisaishi concert happening in relation to the Fanime Convention in San Jose. The orchestra wasn't perfect, but I didn't expect it to be, and it was amazing to see all my favorite songs performed live. "The Legend of Ashitaka" made me the most emotional; I got really close...

More people should check out this Hop Along album [Bark Your Head Off, Dog]. It's a mid-rocking rock album, female lead vocals. I liked it, but I think some of you might like it more, like the DocBrown-Jirin-type crowd.
