About that Grimes song, that could almost be the biggest musical disappointment of the year to me. All original qualities of Grimes previous efforts seem to be removed to come to more standard modern sound. Even the fascist robot theme feels extremely stale and cliched. Immaterial just dominated that last update. I think it'll do even better on our forum list. It's also interesting to see the battles between thank u, next and no tears left to cry and Honey and Missing U. They seemingly swap every update.

If Oil of Every Pearl... moves up one more spot will it be the weirdest album ever to make the top ten for its year? The biggest competition it has this decade are Shaking the Habitual and Syro.

Thank U Next and No Tears Left to Cry are vote splitting almost perfectly. I wonder how highly either one would rank if not for the other.

It's interesting that MGMT has two songs on here but neither one is the sublime She Works Out Too Much, which seems like it will be the AMF favorite.

Wuthering Heights improved on its surprise performance from last poll, but a few of us (including me) thought it'd be even higher. Still an awesome result.

Wow that is the lowest I've ever seen Waterloo Sunset. Stunningly low, but maybe not surprising based on the results of the poll -- the Kinks sadly lost ground all around.

You could say the same about The Beatles with Strawberry Fields, but they still have more than enough representation ;)

I like Double Negative, but it is shocking to me it's such a critics' favorite. It is a lot less accessible than albums that usually end up that high, and I don't see any of its songs doing that well with the critics. But it's not as shocking at Tranquility Base's performance. Strange how they added Be the Cowboy to their list of The Top 100 Albums Of The Quietus' Existence only very recently, but that album is nowhere to be seen here.
