Re: Artist of the Month Song/Album Polls - March '21 - Miles Davis!

I had aimed to do a much deeper dive into Miles' discography this month, but work got in the way (same issue for me starting the non-English language poll). I did move up In a Silent Way significantly on my AT albums list after revisiting this; it's a magical piece of music. Albums: 1. In a Silent W...

The 2015 version of this list has been in AM for some time, but upon looking through the wayback machine, it's been updated periodically since then. The most recent update is particularly interesting to me since there's a new #1 all time. And it's an album from this year! That ... kind of seems lik...

I'm going to assume no one who has commented has listened to it more than once. The album has only been out for a day. Any work of art needs time to sink in with its audience, so there's no reason to jump the gun and be unnecessarily critical. There are moments on the new album that sound like an e...

I listened to it and didn't like it at all. Why has she gone completely away from making anything up-tempo or with varied production? Some of these flaws were present in NFR! too, but that album had an engaging atmosphere and some clever songwriting, particularly on its better songs. This one just d...
